Freebie Friday: Arrow Hero (browser/Android)

Freebie Friday is a semi-regular news feature where we talk about a freeware, just free or open source game. It can be anything from a throwaway web game to a free-to-play RPG or mobile puzzle game. This time: Arrow Hero.

Arrow hero is a minimalist game where your goal is to match your inputs with an unstoppable continuous overwhelming flow of arrows.

I hate rhythm games. Mainly because I suck really badly at them. They’re like quick-time events, except that’s the whole game. But ever since Dance Dance Revolution, they’ve been getting more and more crazy, with even bigger and more complex controllers. But what if you stripped back the gameplay? You’d get Arrow Hero, a game where you just have to press the correct arrow on your keyboard until you make a mistake. It’s really that simple. If you like rhythm games and have a bit of time to spare, I’m pretty sure this’ll keep you busy.

You can play Arrow Hero in your browser or grab the game on Google Play.
